The Price of Hatred

its not as easy as it seems. pardoning. and no matter how hard you try to forgive, it happened and you can't do anything about it and it will always come back to haunt you.
It's never easy. That's why it's called a leap of faith. ;)

Forgiveness, I think, really is more of an internal state rather than anything outward. Once you can let their actions go, stop blaming them...you stop letting them hold you back. You become free. This doesn't mean you forget what happened and go merrily on your way forever and ever. It still happened, and nothing you can do can change that. Forgiveness is a way of making peace with it without denying it. If you truly forgive, it may come back...but not to haunt you, because when it comes, you are able to genuinely forgive again.
You're definitely right about that.
