British trio Muse is looking forward to returning to the U.S. for its opening stint on the second leg of My Chemical Romance's next tour, scheduled to begin on April 14th in Houston, Texas. Muse's previous Stateside treks have been mostly headlining dates or radio festivals, and drummer Dominic Howard thinks it will be interesting to get in front of another band's audience: "Yeah, it's good, should be fun, yeah. It's a different kind of audience, I think, to what we normally play to. It'll be a lot younger crowd out there, you know, and I think it's, I mean, it's good to try and sort of find new people that haven't heard your music before and play to them and see if it works, you know. I think that's the way forward."
Muse is touring in support of its fourth album, Black Holes and Revelations, which features the current single "Starlight."
The band plans to return to the States on its own following the tour with My Chemical Romance.
Black Holes and Revelations was the most downloaded record of 2006 in
the U.K., with online sales alone actually beating out the overall
sales of the year's best-selling British rock album, Snow Patrol's Eyes
Open.
