I found myself watching videos from the V Festival last night, and holy crap. I was blown away by this:
Stumbled upon this today, it's features a bunch of acoustic stuff and talking about how Muse got together. It's back from the Showbiz days, so it's quite old, and Matt has a funny hat.
I like how he says: "This may last for one year...I'll probably end up being a painter/decorator in ten years time.." Yeah, almost ten years later and they're one of the biggest bands in the world. :)
Holy crap this performance of New Born is good. (2004 in LA)
It's based on a graphic novel. And does something sound familiar?
Oh yeah, that's Apocalypse Please. But it's only the piano bits. :)
I love how Muse is being used everywhere now. :)
Sorry for posting so much today, but I couldn't resist.
Here's a commercial for the new Dior fragrance Midnight Poison.
It's directed by Wong Kar Wai (of 2046/In the Mood for Love fame) and features the actress from Casino Royale. And the best part is that it's set to Muse's Space Dementia!
Your Muse video of the day: The Small Print.
I love this performance from Earls Court in 2004. He even throws his guitar into the crowd at the end. I absolutely love how into the song Matt is in this performance. Incredible!
Muse video of the day, recorded at Abby Road. This version kicks ass. Also, for those of you who don't know, the Problematique is a yearly meeting that goes over all of the worlds problems, and tries to come up w/ concrete solutions for each of them.
This version has a section about 3/4 of the way through where Matt plays with the guitar riffs and makes it sound generally awesome.
And that fourth guy, that's Morgan, he helps Muse play the songs that they've made too complicated for three people to play.
It's been a long time since I've done this, and I thought I'd bring it back. Here's your Muse video of the day, dedicated to a new Muse fan whose favorite song is Hypermusic:
It's a little....hyper...and...musical. ;)

In 1966, Jimi Hendrix tore up the rulebook and changed the face of rock, as did Eddie Van Halen in 1978. And at this precise moment, Matt Bellamy of muse is doing exactly the same. And from MuseLive:
Moreover, in an interview given last May to Rock Mag and published in this month's issue, Matthew confirmed that he has begun to work on a new album and new songs, some more in line with electronic or "dance" music and others more with classical or symphonic music (the band is thinking of hiring an orchestra for some of them).
Yet, these new songs will probably not be played live during this tour, since the band wishes to keep them all fresh and new. Matthew also revealed that the next album should be produced by the band itself, in order to have more freedom.
